Sulis Temple
Head

A
reproduction of the Gorgon Head from the Aquae Sulis Temple in Bath,
England. The first shrine at this hot springs site was built between 60-70
AD by the Celts, and was dedicated to their goddess Sulis and later to the
Roman goddess Minerva.
The great head from the temple pediment (now in a museum) has snakes
entwined within the beard and wings above the ears, plus other details
which have been accurately reproduced in this pendant shown on the left.
Alternately, the head image may be of a water god such as Oceanus, or a
Celtic sun god. Crafted from genuine pewter .

shows Cernunnos with his antler headdress as the Wild Stag surrounded by
